It has been confirmed now that Varun Dhawan is going to be a part of upcoming spy series Citadel India chapter. Lead lady of the series has not been confirmed so far. Yet it is speculated that Samanta Ruth Prabhu is going to play the lead role.

Citadel is going to be a global series with the series releasing in local languages and local characters. First English version will see actors Richard Madden of Bodyguard, Priyanka Chopra Jonas of Quantico and Stanely Tucci of The Hunger Games films.
Italian version of the sereis is also under works in which will be starring Matilda De Angelus of The Undoing fame. There is also thought that all these diffeent versions of Citadel universe characters will meet at some point of time in the future for a big global collbaoration, having the storyline merged. It will be intersting to see how this series turns out. Russo Brothers and Jennifer Salke are the mind behind the series.
Indian version of the series will be directed by The Family Man sereis creators like Raj &Dk. FIlming for the same wll start in January. It will be written by Sita R Menon along with Raj &DK. Varun Dhawan will be making his debut in the series category this time.
