Uunchai is a story of friendship- a close bonding that never fades away even with death. That the friends even though they are old try to fulfill the last wish of their dead friend to go to Mount Everest. Will they be successful in this attempt? What are the emotions behind it, their backstory and all you will all get to see in this film.
Unique story presented with this film of old people friendhsip. Nice direction and narration by the filmmaker. All the actors have also given a really good performane. In this film, we see big faces from the Indian cinema indistry- Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta and others. Really exceptional performance.
FIlm is a lot of emotion. WIll get you tears out of your eyes while watching the film. FIlm dialogues and naration are really exceptional, extraordinary. Film duration is a little long 2 hour 53 minutes. Story is engaging throughout. Only the trek portion in the film could have been cut short little bit. Film songs and music are good, lyrics are also nice of the songs in the film. FIlm cinematography is good. Production design is of really good quality. Editing is sharp. Second half is more emotional than the first half of the film. I recommend this film to you all especially the senior citizens and adults to watch this film. I had a great time watching this film. I rate this film total 4 stars out of 5. ‘Heart touching story’ is one short way I would describe Uunchai the film. Parineeti Chopra who plays the trek instructor in the film also gives decent performance.
