Thank God is a movie of a man who goes through an accident and is fighting for survival between life and death and in the process he meets Lord Chitragupt who is doing hisaab Kitaab of all the wrongs and good deeds he has done. This is the essence of the story. Hisaab Kitaaab of good and bad deeds by Lord Chitragupt is done through a gameshow in this movie where different judges are there is also new. Novel way, new way, the story is being presented. Concept is also fresh new.
This film tires to give a messgae at the end that is emotional as well as touching to the audience. Film first half isn’t that strong in this movie.second half the film does well. Comedy scenes not handled well in the movie, emotional scenes well handled in the movie. This film is a mix of emotions and drama along with comedy.Story screenplay written well in the movie. There are some portions in the movie which you might find repitaitve in the movie specially the Chitragupt Bhagwaan session with that man. Sometimes you will find some scenes boring also. There are some scenes also in the movie which will make you laugh your heart out.
This film had the potential to be a very good entertainer with a whole lot of comedy but that opportunity seems lost with the movie. Emotion wise, the film has performed really welll. Music of this film is average. Songs, only one song is good that is Manike Mage Hithe and also in that Nora Fatehi actors pictureisation is done well. Nora Fatehi has danced gracefully in the song.
Ajay Devgn’s performance as Lord Chitragupt is nice. Sidharth Malhotra’s role as that man who goes through accident is okay when it comes to performance. Specially in some comedy scenes his comic timing doesn’t seem to match with that of the audience. Rakul Preet Singh as Sidharth Malhotra character wife is good. All the other actors have also lend good decent support. Action sequences of the film are okay. Dialogues of the film could have been even more better. Cinematography of the film is good. Editing could have been sharper. I had a great time watching the movie. I rate this movie 2 stars out of 5. This film could have been even more better.
