UP CM Yogi Adityanath visited Mumbai and in the between of his schedule met various Bollywood biggies and celebrities of the industry. Various celebrities had their own different conversations with the Chief Minister.
In a meeting that was attended by Ravi Kishan, Jackie Shroff, Subhash Ghai and many others, Suniel Shetty raised one point with UP CM and sought his help. He said that there is one hasthag called ‘Boycott Bollywood’ that is ruining the industry. Image of Bollywood is getting spoilt and it is high time this hashtag has to be done away with.
He said that this hashtag removal is necessary. He said that 99 percent of Bolywood doesn’t take drugs and rather focus on hard work to reach out to people through films. ‘Our stories and music connect to the world and hence the Boycott Bollywood stigma needs to be removed’. He also sought the Prime Minster’s help in the matter. Suniel Shetty asked UP CM Yogi Adityanth to convey this message to PM Narendra Modi as well.
Suniel Shetty’s this address to the UP CM comes in the between of various Bollywood films that face and have faced Boycott calls from people or a ‘selected group’ on social media. Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathaan was also tried to make victim of the Boycott Bollywood controversy.
