Siya is a story of a young girl who is raped by the powerful people in her village and she struggles to get herself justice. No one is able to support her in the journey only Vineet Kumar Singh takes the courage to help her fight the system to get justice. Will she be able to get justice is what you will get to know after watching the film. Pooja Pandey has played the main role of Siya in the film and Vineet Kumar Singh has played the role of Siya’s sympathiser and support Mahender in the film.
Pooja Pandey has performed really well in the role of Siya and even Vineet Kumar Singh has done justice to the role assigned to him. Film duration is less than 2 hours yet the movie does not look like a rush or a fast fast paced story. Story is slow, takes its own time to tell the story, story seems real and not acting type. Movie seems like a documentary. Good part about this movie is more focus is given on the after rape journey of the girl rather than the rape visuals. Movie is a ‘real movie’ type. Looks natural. You can’t find more drama and connect with the story. Dialogues are also okay. Only one or two powerful dialgues are there. Scenes also look natural. Only few scenes are there where you will be able to get the vibe of the story, you will be able to expereince the movie.
BGM is also okay, CInematography is also okay. Village scenes are okay in the movie. This movie is a realistic type movie based on a rape incident. You can’t expect much entertainment from the film. Story is a good watch movie. You will be able to expereince the trouble rape victims have to undergo, specially when the culprits are powerful people and they try to get around with the system without getting any punishment, roaming around in the street free, even though they are guilty. I rate this movie 3 stars out of 5. Director Manish Mundra has taken a realistic approach which presenting this movie but a little connect is missing while watching this movie. I recommend you to watch this movie. This movie is an eye opener for the wrong goings happening in our system, specially when it comes to punishing those in power.
