Shamshera Trailer released today and what we come to know watching the trailer is that Ranbir Kapoor rises from a slave to a warrior, a leader of his tribe who looks forward to challenging and fighting the oppressors of his tribe. There is a beautiful dialogue from the trailer which says, ‘Ghulami kisi ki achi nahi hoti aur azadi tumhe koi deta nahi. Azadi Cheenni padti hai.’ This dialogue is more relatable. Even azadi of our nation was not gifted, but fought and achieved.
Sanjay Datt as a villain looks entertaining as well as dangerous. There is a moment in the film where Sanjay Dutts character slaps an English police officer refers to Kohinoor as ‘Teri Maa ka mukut’. That moment seems a goosebump moment and a key scene of Sanjay Dutts performance in the trailer. Vaani Kapoor in this picture looks graceful as well as beautiful. Seems like there is a love story angle also in this action drama.
There is comedy and action in Sanjay Dutts performance. Action, comedy and Romance in Ranbir Kapoors character. Romance and action in Vaani Kapoors character. So this is a multi genre film. Ranbir Kapoor plays a larger than life character in Shamshera, quite different from his earlier avatars as a dream boy of romance.
Another interesting thing that we got to know about the film in the trailer is that Ranbir Kapoor plays a fathers role also this time. An elderly role by such a young actor is a different thing first time tried by Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor also plays the role of a son with a youthful charm and passion. So, this would be Ranbir Kapoors double role picture in his career. Quite many firsts for Ranbir Kapoor.
Story looks appealing and interesting with VFX and amazing story telling. Ranbir Kapoor’s this larger than life character and Sanjay Dutts villain performance is the most liked part of the movie trailer. Romance in the movie trailer gives a different kind of life to the story. Quite an amazing trailer. Can’t wait for this action packed avatar of Ranbir Kapoor. Shamshera releases on the 22nd of July. Excited.
