Saif Ali Khan is going to play the main role in the upcoming Hindi adaptation of the Danish/Swedish series based on a cross border murder mystery that police force from both the countries are investigating and solving the case.
This is the 8th adaptation of the show after its successs in the US/Mexico, UK/France, Germany/Austria, Singapore/Malaysia and Russia/Esstonia.
Saif Ali Khan is going to produce this adaptation along with Endemol Shine India in association with his own banner Black Knight Films. The original series has been aired in more than 188 countries.
Saif Ali Khan and his team feel this story is a kind of opportunity to work on because this story ahs been adapted across the world and loved by the audiences, despite the geographies and so they are super excited about this project and waiting for it to get rolling.
The show is aiming for a mid 2024 release and is slated to go on floors later this year. Saif Ali Khan is going to play the role of Martin Rohde, originally played by Danish actor Kim Bodnia in The Bridge.
