Rajamouli’s period action drama film RRR is all set to release in Japan on October 21 Friday. RRR actors Ram Charan and Jr. NTR have already landed in Japan and will be seen promoting the film in full swing ahead of the release.
Usually, Indian films perform well in the Japanese market and Rajamouli’s Bahubali also worked well in the country. Rajamouli is also expected to go to Japan soon for the film promotions.
RRR film worked really well in the Indian box office and also had good collections worldwide. The film grossed around Rs 1,111–1,200 crore (US$150–160 million) worldwide, setting several box office benchmarks for an Indian film. The film became the third higest grossing Indian film and was also nominated in three categories at the 47th Saturn awards for Best Action/Adventure film, Best International film and Best Director.
Rajamouli’s RRR has also been creating a buzz worldwide demanding an Oscar nomination for the film.
