RRR film which was released this year in March was one of the most successful films of Indian cinema. It has received so many awards and nominations that the film has made name not only in India but also abroad. Recently the Golden Globe Awards 2022 nominations were announced and it was RRR from India that made its name to the nominations – that too in two categories.

RRR Film got nominated for Best Picture in the Non English Language category and Best Original song- Naatu Naatu.
Best Picture Non English category will have other nominations like All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), Argentina, 1985 (Argentina), Close (Belgium), Decision to Leave (South Korea) compete with RRR (India).
Best ORiginal song-Naatu Naatu will have other competition like Carolina’ from Where the Crawdads Sing, ‘Ciao Papa’ from Pinocchio, ‘Hold My Hand’ from Top Gun: Maverick and ‘Lift Me Up’ from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
RRR was the only film to make it to the nominations from India. Likewise, other Indian films like Kantara, Gangubai Kathiawadi and CHello Show had also applied but could not make it to the nominations.
