Randeep Hooda kept his promise made to Dalbir that he will attend her funeral if she ever passes away someday. Randeep Hooda not only attended the funeral but also lit the pyre on behalf of Dalbirs late brother Sarabjit.

Randeep Hooda and Dalbir Kaur had developed good bonding during the shooting of biopic ‘Sarabjit’ based on the life of Dalbirs late brother.

Dalbirs brother Sarabjit passed away in 2013 after being sentenced to death for alleged terrorism and spying in Pakistan. Dalbir Kaur had hit the headlines back then for leading various vociferous campaigns demanding the release of her brother. Dalbir Kaur used to claim that her brother was innocent, he had entered into Pakistan by mistake for which he had been arrested.
