Randeep Hooda is portraying the character of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a freedom fighter during the India’s Independence struggle in an upcoming film tilted Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.
The trailer of the film was out on Monday and in the trailer we see the promising transformation of Randeep Hooda into the character of Veer Savarkar. This film is also directed by him (Randeep Hooda).
The film is more than just a biopic, but also tells us the daring often not discussed India’s armed revolution for Independence.
The trailer starts with Randeep Hooda’s voiceover ‘Humne sabne padha hai ki bharat ko aazadi ahimsa se mili hai lekin ye wo kahani nahi hai’
The trailer delves into the personal struggles and journey of the life of Veer Savarkar, how he was put in jail (Kaala Paani). What all stugles he went inside the jail . The revolution that started with the rise of leasers like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Madanlal Dhingra, Bhagat Singh. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Politics of that period etc.
All such stories we get to see in the trailer. We also get to see the two contrasting ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the trailer.
The sacrifice of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar for India’s freedom struggle and his influence on freedom fighters of that time we get to see in the trailer.
