Ram Charan is not only an actor but is also known for his philanthropic activities. He along with his father Chiranjeevi have started out many facilities for the underpriviledged when it comes to healthcare. They have their own Chraitable Trust, Eye bank, oxygen bank and blood bank facility along with many other necessary facilities. They have also reached out to thousands of needy people during the pandemic.
Appreciating Ram Charan’s efforts, recently a felicitation program was held recently in Delhi by NDTV. Ram Charan was presented with the Award of True Legend- Future of India. Talking about receiving this award, Ram Charan says that his father Chiranjeevi is the leading guide for him when it comes to philanthrophy. He also recalled a memory from his younger days where his father had told him that he should always take care of the people around him working with him.
He also recalled one incident from his personal life where one of his family like close friend was unable to survive by not finding blood available for him at the right time. His father was so sad by the incident that he decided and started a blood bank so that no more people die due to such reasons in the future. He also recalled one initiative of Chiranjeevi who asked his fans to donate blood into his blood bank for which they would recieve a photograph with him. During the Covid pandemic some 75,000 film workers were taken care with basic facilities and necessities provided by the Chrianjeevi and Ram Charan family. Ram Charan thanks people for watching their films and supporting their works because of which such efforts are possible. He also thanks the who’s who of the film industry for also lending out ther support in different ways to his humanitarian activities.
