Naane Varuvean is a new Tamil movie written and acted by Dhanush. It is a story of two brothers, Kathir and Prabhu. Kathir is a bad boy. Prabhu is a good boy. Prabhu becomes big and marries and gets a child. Film focus is on Prabhu.
Kathir has a bad story because he was a rebel child and he was abandoned by family. Prabhu’s daughter gets possesed and her getting possesed has some connection with her uncle Kathir’s life. That you will get to know watching the movie. Movie first half is quite engaging. There’s lot of suspense in the movie. This is a psycho-thriller film. Movie portion also has a part of supernatural forces and all.Horror element is also there in this film.
Dhanush plays double role in the film and his negative character really impresses you more in the film.Good boy Prabhu character is also very well played by the actor. There are many elements in his good man character you will love watching the film. Father-daughter love is also shown in the movie. Film first half is really interesting to watch, keeps you hooked, but things take a turn in the second hald where most of the story seems predictable. Second half of the story we can also see a rush in presenting the story. Story is little fast in the secod half.
Kathir and Prabhu brother story is really nice in this film. Baackground score of the film is good. Acting of other actors in the film is okay. Elli Avram has limited role in the movie. Okay performance. Indhuja Ravichandran as Bhuvana, Prabhu’s wife acting is little strange at times. You get a little confused looking at her expressions in the film. Yogi Babu character was not needed in the film. Same repeitative acting I am not much amused of. Overall, a good movie to watch. End of the movie is predictable. This is the biggest negative point of the film. I rate this movie 3 stars out of 5. Naane Varuvean is good one time watch.
