DAMan movie lead actor Babushaan Mohanty spoke exculisvely in a chat with Filmifever Admin Ravi Gupta. He spoke about his recent film DAMan which worked really well in the Odia box office and is now screening in Hindi cinemas, dubbed version as well, starting Feb 3rd. He has called this achievement a recognition of his team effort and ‘celebration moment’ for the people of his state.
DAMan movie has crosssed the boundaries of Odisha and has become a pan India film with Hindi release recently. DAMaN star Babushaan Mohanty calls himself an ‘actor’ and not a ‘star’. His humility shines out while talking about his film. ‘Such a big name to agree to do a film with a different subject, an untouched area, an untold story never told before, speaks volumes’, his costar Dipanwit Deshmohapatra spoke about Babushaan Mohanty in his praise for the star actor.
Babushaan Mohanty calls it a moment ‘a dream come true’. He says, he had always dreamt of looing towards an opportunity where he could represent his state Odisha and with Daman movie crossing the boundaries of Odisha this dream for the star actor appears to have come true, he says.
Babushaan Mohanty says, he’s been in the industry for 15 years now. He is tired of doing ths same type of films again and again. He wanted to do something new. He thanks DAMan movie producers and directors for coming before him with such a ‘unique’ kind of film – not a love story, not an action drama, but an original story about an incident, an health emergency that happened in one rural area of his state Odisha and how the state tackled it.
Damam movie actor calls this film, a ‘celebration moment for his state’ that the film is finally being talked about in other parts of the country, speically in comercial cities like Mumbai in India.
