Kriti Sanon at the trailer launch of Adipurush film said it was an emotional moment for her that that she got the opportunity to portray the character of Janaki on screen in Adipurush. She also said she is thankful to the directors and the makers for believing in her and giving her such a huge opportunity.
She said at the trailer launch that she has given her 200 percent to the film. She also requested the audience to forgive her if they feel in any way she has not done justice to the role. She said that the character she was playing on screen was such a pure, kind, loving soul, at the same time fearless.
She also said to the audience that if they look at the poster of Janaki from the film (see below), they will be be able to see ‘peeda’ ‘dard’ in her eyes. But no ‘fear’ in her eyes. They will be able to see ‘yaadien’ (memories), ‘intezaaar'(wait) that my Raghav is coming. She calls the belief in Raghav eventhough staying in that ashokvatika is a true ’emotion’. She said she has tried her best to portray that character on screen. She even chanted ‘Jay Shree Ram’ ‘Jai Siya Ram’ in her address.
