Kantara is a mystery-suspense action drama film starring Rishab Shetty in the lead role. He has also written and directed the film. KGF producers have produced this film. Story has a reference to culture and tradition from coastal Karnatka. Some connection with religion and history is also shown in the film.

Film story is simple but they have presented it in a different way with a mix of culture, comedy, action. Film first half has some comedy elements in the film. Comedy timing is good and you don’t feel that the comedy in the first half is forceful comedy. Comedy in this film is genuine and the actos have also played their part fairly.

FIlm last few minutes specially in the second half you can see some action and drama and story falling into place. Film first half is build up of the story. Rishab Shetty in his charcter of Shiva has tried his best to bring his angry character live on screen.

There are some light moments in the film and there are also some scary moments in the film where you will feel scared all of a sudden. Film climax specially the last half hour of the film is best part of the film with a mix of some really good storyline,, music and acting performace. Good film overall when it comes to the stoyline, camerawork and the BGM. I had a great time watching the movie.

I rate this movie 3.5 stars out of 5. Watching Rishab Shetty’s performance in the film, I definately wish Rishab Shetty to get a National award for the film. He simply deserves it.
