Emergency is one of the darkest periods of Indian history where civil liberties were suspended and opponents of Indira Gandhi were arrested and press was censored. This happened during Indira Gandhi’s reign.
The Emergency lasted for 2years from 1975 to 1977. Based on that, a film by Kangana Ranaut is in the making. The makers announced a new poster today featuring Kangana Ranaut as Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and have also shared the release date of the film i.e. 14th of June 2024. Look at thee poster below:

The film also stars actors Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman and the late Satish Kaushik. Renu Pitti and Kangana Ranaut are the producers of this movie under the banner of Manikarnika Films and Zee Studios. The film is the directorial of Kangana Ranaut and is also the writer of the story. Zee Studios is the distributor of this movie.
