Telugu movie Geeta Sakshigaa director Anthony Mattipal spoke exclusively to Filmifever. He spoke about what inspired him to make the film and a lot more.
Anthony Mattipal says, he came across a rape incident in Telangana where a girl was raped and murdered by 4 people and nobody knows who did it.
He also came across another incident where a hostel teenager was raped by a politician, nobody knows who did it. So he decided to make a film on the hostel rape incident. He also added that while they were making the film, also one more rape incident happened where a girl was kidnapped from a pub and raped and dropped back to the pub (4 teenagers involved). So this is an awareness film that such incidents should not happen.
Director Anthony Mattipal says, there are so many incidents such across the country. Women are not feeling safe. So need to spread awareness, so that our women get security.
Director Anthony Mattipal has also written the screenplay of the film. He says he took help from lawyers to understand legal terms also few other people to write the script of the film. He says that he completed the film in 40 days time. His film is also completed in a minimum budget of 8 crore. He says, the artists and producers, the entire team has been very supportive and helpful to him.
Geeta Sakshiga movie is also releasing in Hindi. Geeta Sakhshigaa in Hindi means Geeta Sakshi Hai. The movie is releasing in theatres April 7th (Hindi 7th). Adarsh, Chitra Shukla star in lead roles in the film.
