Filmmakers should make films, audience have something to take from it: Film Director Vivek Agnihotri

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri spoke today exclusively with Filmifever admin Ravi Gupta. He spoke about the trend in cinema and the recent box office success Pathaan. He said that there is a trend going on in cinema these days that films are made only for entertainment.

‘Filmmakers make films expecting audience to leave their minds at home and come and watch their film’. He says that films are made these days audience have less or nothing to take back from it when they return home. He says, films like 3 Idiots where audience had some kind of message to take back from it should be brought more in cinema these days.

Filmakers should not take audience for granted, that is what filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has to say. He also asks the film stars to use their star power to work in films or bring about films that can have some positive impact or bring about some change in society. He says that film stars have the power in their hands and they should use their star power for the betterment in society.

He also acknowledged that people have also like for star films and films where they want to celebrate actors and cinema, but film celebrities should know how to use their star power well, he says. At the same time, he asks the big people of the industry to also let the small creators and makers of the industry survive in the market.
