Vijay Deverakonda’s recent film Liger was called for boycott by some section of audience particularly on social media. He was asked to comment on the boycott call given for his movie.
Vijay Deverakonda had said that we don’t need to give too much attention on the boycott call. Whoever is interested will watch the movie in theatre, who is not interested will watch it on OTT.
This comment by Vijay Deverakonda was not liked by Manoj Desai, senior film exhibitor in Mumbai, owner of Maratha Mandir and Gaiety Galaxy theatre. He had said in an exclusive interview with Filmi Fever that ‘Vijay Deverakonda has become arrogant. He should have not made such irresponsible comments’ knowing that such comments could impact booking of theatre business.
Vijay Deverakonda came to know about this and came to Mumbai to meet Manoj Desai and give clarification on the boycott movie comment.
Vijay Deverakonda also sought the theatre owner’s blessings for his future films. Vijay Deveraknda promised Manoj Desai that he would come up with more better films in future.
