Randeep Hooda is in the news now for playing the role of Freedom Fighter Veer Savarkar has shared an interesting post on Savarkar’s death anniversary. He remembered Veer Savarkar calling him a ‘fearless freedom fighter, writer, philosopher and visionary’.
He said in his Instagram post Veer Savarkar was locked inside Jail by the British (7 by 11 foot jail) in Kalapani for two life times (50 years).
He also shared that during preparation for his role in Veer Savarkar movie, he tried to lock himself in jail to understand Veer Savarkar’s emotions while going through jail imprisonment.
Randeep Hooda said he couldn’t last for 20 minutes also inside Jail and he tries to understand how Veer Savarkar might have spent in years in jail 11 years and sometimes even in solitary confinement.
He said he tried to imagine the ‘unparalleled endurance of Veer Savarkar who endured the cruelty and inhuman conditions of imprisonment and yet managed to build and inspire an armed revolution’
His contribution and perseverance to our country is ‘unmatchable’, he said.

Swatantrya Veer Savarkar film releases 22nd March in cinemas. The film is releasing in Hindi as well in Marathi. Ankita Lokhande is going to be the female lead of the movie.
This movie is directed by Randeep Hooda along with Utkarsh Naithani. They have co-written the film as well.
