Deadpool 3 production stops due to SAG-AFTRA strike

It is to be noted that the shoot of Deadpool 3 has been stopped because of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike.

The Shawn Levy directorial sequel which began shooting in May, shooting had to be dicontinued till the strike is over. It remains to be seen whether the film will be released on its scheduled date or will it be required to be postponed.

The strike began with the Writers Guild of America demandintg that its members stop working across different platforms from all over the industry because of low and mismatched wages. No actors and writers are working so the studos might find it difficult to make movies and television series.

Deadpool 3 movie plot has been kept under wraps. But it is clear theat Hugh Jackman is coming to play Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

Recently it was announced that Jennifer Garner would reprise her character as Elecktra in the film, who previously portrayed the same in ‘2003’ Daredevil and ‘2005’ spinoff Elektra.

Deadpool 3 will be the first installment of the franchisee to be released under the Walt Disney Company followings its acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019.

Now it is up to the strike issue if it is resolved early, we could see the movie on the scheduled date that is May 3rd, 2024.
