Dangal: Sanya Malhotra played the role of a wrestler, a woman wrestler character no one had ever imagined. Yet, she shone in her role and earned a name for herself. She portrayed the character of Babita Phogat in the film. The film was a box office success.
Jawan: In Jawan, Sanya Malhotra played the role of an impactful doctor who not only tried her best to save lives. She did her best in her character. Some were even emotionally touched by her role on screen. Likewise, she had a different layer in her character, which required her to do action and in that aspect as well, she did really well with action scenes, fighting scenes.
Pagglait: You might have not heard this film much but yes, those who have watched it will relate to the character played by Sanya in Pagglait. She played the role of a widow character so beautifully that it was looking like real, not acting. She played the role of widow who wanted to break stereotypes, that of a woman even after losing her husband, was looking for reasons to live. She tired to create a new identity for herself. SHe was shamed by society, yet she stood for herself.
Kathal: In Kathal film. Sanya Malhotra played the role of a police officer who was trying to investigate a case where robbery was involved of jackfruits. In that role, also she performed well and won audiences hearts.
Likewise, she has also played important roles in films like Badhaai Ho, Sam Bahadur, Pataakha and others. In all of these films, the subject is very different and the characters portrayed by her are diverse. She is moving one step at ta time. Ana her performances are exemplary.
