Comedian Satish Kaushik passes away, cremated in Mumbai

Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik who also also a comedian, director and producer breathed his last on Wednesday. He was 66 year old.

Satish Kaushik passed away in Delhi where he had gone to meet his childhood friends for a holi celebration. While returning back, he started feeling restless, following which he was taken to Fortis Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. Satish Kaushik passed away on his way to the hospital. Cause of his death is said to be cardiac attack, as revealed by the post mortem report.

His final rites took place on Thursday at a crematorium in Mumbai Versova. Many big celebrities like Anupam Kher, Javed Akhtar, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan arrived at the actors residence in Mumbai to pay their last respects to him.

Also, many took to social media to express their sympathies on the departing of their loved actor. Even Prime Minister Modi expressed his grief on Twitter at the passsing away of Satish Kaushik.

Satish Kaushik is now survived by his wife (Shahi Kaushik) and a 10 year old child (daughter Vanshika). Satish Kaushik is well known as a comedian often playing supporting roles, integral to the plot of the film. He was known for his work also as a writer and director, having directed films like ‘Roop ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ and ‘Hum Aapke DIl Mein Rehte Main’.

He is alumnus of National School of Drama and FIlm and Television Inistitue of India.
