Kajol and Vishal Jethwa starrer Salaam Venky released in cinema houses on Friday. Chiranjeevi recently gave a shoutout to the film on social media. In a tweet, he has praised director Revathy for her ‘conviction’ and ‘brilliance’ in making the film.
Salaam Venky is a story of young chess players struggle with a rare disorder called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Chiranjeevi appreciated the actors for their performances in the film, called their performances ‘superb performances’.
He called director Revathy a role model and an ‘inspiration ‘ to tell people such courageous and relevant’ stories. He also congratulated Aamir Khan for being a part of this film. He remembered the story of Venky on whom the film is based. He said that he met the real life Venky years before, few time before his death at the Apollo hospital wher he succumbed to his disorder.
He said that he was heartened to know that Venky was his admirer.
