First time a Kannada film has come with a title ‘Banaras’ and a story having 95 percent of the scenes shot in north India (Banaras). That movie is ‘Banaras’ itself- a love story set in the backdrop of Kashi that stars son of Karnataka MLA, Zameer Ahmed. Zaid Khan is making his debut with the film alongside Kannada-Tulu actress Sonal Monteiro. Film is not only a love story but also a sci-fi film having a concept of time-travel. Suspense element is also there in the movie.
Trailer of the movie is out today and in the trailer we also see a mention of Bollywood film franchisee Dhoom in the film. There’s one scene where we see a banner outside a theatre showing actor Salman Khan is going to be part of Dhoom 4. Dhoom 4 movie is not yet released but the mention of Salmaan Khan in an unreleased movie is intriguing. (Don’t forget : There’s this time travel concept in the movie) By the way, Salmaan Khan brother and actor-producer Arbaaz Khan launched the trailer of this film. So, there’s really a question now whether Salman Khan is going to be part of Dhoom 4? When will this question get answered, we have to keep waiting to know final word from the Dhoom team. Banaras movie is going to be a pan India film releasing in multiple languages like Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The movie is going to hit the theatres on the 4th of November this year. Kannada movie Bell Bottom director Jayatheertha has directed this film.TIlakraj Balal has produced this film.
This movie is going to be a musical love story drama film having locations beautiful like ghats, temples, river Ganga, boat rides, presenting the rich and cultural heritage of Banaras city.
Muzammmil Ahamad Khan has coproduced the film and the director Jayatheertha has also written the story and screenplay of the film. B Ajaneesh Loknath has given music to the film and the choreography is taken care by Jayatheertha and A Harsh.
