Sagarika Bhattacharya, who’s story inspired Rani Mukherjee’s Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway says ‘watching the trailer felt like reliving my battle’

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway trailer has been released and Sagarika Bhattacharya has watched it. She is the one who’s character Rani Mukherjee is playing in the film, of a mother who is fighting against the system and the government who have taken the custody of her children.

This is a sad story as well as emotional and a heart touching story of a woman, a mother who loses her kids to the hands of the government (Norway) and she is trying every step, fighting every battle, just to get her kids back. This story is based on a real life incident. Rani Mukherjee plays the character of the mother on screen.

Sagarika Bhattacharya ji says that she feels like reliving her battle watching the trailer that was released recently. ‘Rani Mukherjee performed my character with dignity and I broke down while watching the trailer’, she said.

‘It is important to know how immigrant mothers/parents are treated even today with this story’, she says. She also spoke about the recent case of Ariha whose parents are facing a similar battle currrently in Germany. She says that she is in touch with Arihas’ parents and she asks everyone to stand with them. ‘My support to them is unconditional’ she says.

She thanked Rani Mukherjee for agreeing to bring this story to light by portraying such character in a film. Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is slated to release in the theatres on 17th March 2023. Watch the trailer here:
