Ponniyin Selvan (PS-1) Trailer got released today at a grand event in Chennai. It was also released online simultaneously. The 3 minute trailer introduces different characters in the film as well as gives us a glimpse about the storyline of PS-1.

Ponniyin Selvan -1 is a story of different royal families looking forward to capture throne of the Chola Empire. Cholas were one of the biggest dynasties in Indian history. Ponniyin Selvan-1 movie is an adaption of a Tamil book series by the same name. Kalki is the author of that novel. Ponniyin Sevan movie has taken names of real life characters in the movie but events are ficitionalized to a larger extent.
Movie is written by Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. Movie is directed by Mani Ratnam, produced by Lyca Productions. Music is composed by A R Rahman for the film. Ponniyin Selvan-1 stars actors Chiyaan Vikram, Jayaram Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lekshmi and others. Movie is releasing on 30 September in multiple Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
