Robert De Niro is likely to star in an upcoming Warner Bros crime drama film ‘Wise Guys’. Actor is also expected to play two roles in the film. Wise Guys is directed by Barry Levinson, known for Rain Man and Wag the Dog.
Robert De Niro and Barry Levinson had collaborated earlier for projects like Wag the Dog, Sleeper, the HBO series The Wizard of Lies, and What Just Happened. Last, they had collaborated for the HBO series The Wizard of Lies which released in 2017. Now, they are going to team up once again after a gap of 5 years.
Wise Guys is going to be a crime drama mafia story based on Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, both Italian American crime bosses of the 50’s. Genovese had tried to assasinate Costello, following which Costello retired from the mafia world. Wise Guys’ screenplay is written down by Nicholas Pileggi.
