Laal SIngh Chaddha as you know is Hindi adaptation of Hollywood movie Forrest Gump. Movie has many scenes similar to Forrest Gump, but little changes have been made to the script particularly when it comes to the storyline and character. In some scenes, locations also. Indian flavour has been given to the movie keeping Indian audience in mind. Events from India’s political history also shown in the movie.

Laal Singh Chaddha is story of a boy called Laal who is innocent and acts like a little special child. His journey specially from childhood to his youth, years in the army are all shown in the movie. Laal Singh Chaddha is also a story of a boy who had difficulty in running still becomes a champion athlete in college. Laal SIngh Chaddha is also a story of friendhip, friendship with his close friend Bala and as well as friendhip with one terrorist. Laal Singh Chaddha is also story of an army man who tried to save terrorist life. Laal SIngh Chaddha is also story of small business. Their dream to start a ‘chaddi banyan business’. Laal SIngh Chaddha is a huge story with many small small different stories fited inside it.

Laal Singh Chaddha length is little long: 2 hours and 45 minutes. FIrst half of the movie is okay with its ups and and downs, engaging storyline. Second half of the movie goes low. Only towards the end you will feel the energy once again in the movie. Emotional scenes are many in the movie. Right from Laals childhood days to his days in adulthood. Love story is also shown in the movie. Love story of a boy and his childhood crush. Will they be able to survive their relationship? That you will get to know only after watching the movie.

Songs are nice in the movie. Music is also good. Supporting actors like Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya have given impressive performance. Mona Singh played the role of Laal SIngh Chaddha’s mother. Naga Chaitanya played the role of Laal Singh Chaddh’s close friend.

Ahmad Ibn Umar as child character Laal Singh Chaddha was also amazing to watch. His innocence and cute screen presence was really worth watching. Naga Chaitanya’s role was little short in the movie. He was good in the movie. He should have been given more screen time. Shah Rukh Khan also does a special appearance in the movie.

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan performance was okayish in the first half. Both of their characters gave shining performance towards the end of the film. Specially Aamir Khan in his Punjabi character was good to watch than from his earlier scenes in the film. Kareena Kapoor Khan has also given good performance. Her crying scenes in the film are really touching. You can feel the pain of her characer whenevr she cries.

Manav Vij was also given role in this movie. He played the character of Mohammad Paaji. He had little more role this time in this film and he was also good. Overall, Laal Singh Chaddha is a nice film to watch if you don’t compare it with Forrest Gump. Little bit ups and downs are there in the movie. Adaptation wise, I would say, the film has stayed true to the original story. All the actors have put in their efforts. Movie could have been better. I rate this movie 2 and a half stars out of 5.
